Most recent GOME data

Each of the images are updated several times per day. Thus the images provided on this page are the most recent ones available. Archives on older data are found in the subsection of each tracegas listed to the right.

Please note that these maps are just the small versions and each map is clickable, such that a new window will appear with the normalsized version of the map. As the page changes often, hit the RELOAD button on your browser to make sure that you get the newest version.

At the moment only three latitude-altitude charts of ozoneprofiles are displayed in this section, for more charts go to the ozone page.

Due to an onboard anomaly related to the Attitude and Orbit Control Software (AOCS), all the ERS-2 Payload instruments have been switched off between 17 January 2001 and 8 February. Normal operation resumed on 22 February. A new software patch has been installed to enable a gyro-less operation of ERS-2. However, further refinements and updates are expected to improve orbital performance over the next weeks. This may cause larger uncertainties in the NRT trace gas data. For operational news on GOME and ERS-2 contact ESA/ESRIN GOME home page.
