Due to an onboard anomaly related to the Attitude and Orbit
Control Software (AOCS), all the ERS-2 Payload instruments
have been switched off between 17 January 2001 and 8 February.
Normal operation resumed on 22 February. A new software patch
has been installed to enable a gyro-less operation of
ERS-2. However, further refinements and updates are expected
to improve orbital performance over the next weeks. This may
cause larger uncertainties in the NRT trace gas data. For
operational news on GOME and ERS-2 contact ESA/ESRIN GOME home page.
